EMG/NCS
This
test is commonly used to evaluate for:
Pinched nerves in the neck
or back caused by slipped disks
Sciatica
Peripheral neuropathy (numbness or tingling in the arms or legs)
Carpal
tunnel syndrome (numbness in the hands)
Ulnar neuropathy
Radial neuropathy (wrist drop)
Peroneal neuropathy (foot
drop)
Muscle Disorders

EEG
This
test measures brain wave activity.
Our office performs
both routine EEGs in the office and ambulatory EEGs which can record brain wave activity for several days at
home.
This test is commonly performed to evaluate for seizure
activity, especially when patient's have unexplained episodes of loss of consciousnes or strange recurrent "spells".
